ACU Homecoming

October is one of my favorite months. Pumpkin patches, scarves, pumpkins spice everything, costumes, and ...

ACU Homecoming!

Adam and I met at ACU. We have so many great memories from those first few years together. Now we bring our kids to homecoming events (hopefully brainwashing them into becoming future wildcats)!

Landry Kate at the beanbag toss.

Happy boy and happy Mama!

A year ago, this little girl could not find the courage to go all the way up a bounce house. She would cry before she even made it to the top and she definitely did not like all of the bigger kids passing her by to get to the slide. This year, she loved those bounce houses! She jumped, climbed, slid, and laughed for about one full hour. I was so proud!

Three Lott men.

The next morning, we went to the homecoming parade. Barrett liked the band and Landry Kate liked the candy being thrown to her (of course)!

Here is teeny, tiny Barrett at last year's homecoming parade. He stayed cuddled up in the stroller to stay warm!

Sweet little Landry Kate last year. Always happy!!

It really warmed up in the afternoon so the kiddos played in the pool. I just love Barrett's big grin!

Landry Kate was such a helper with the lawn mower.

On Sunday, I took my girl to see ACU's homecoming musical, Mary Poppins!
We love Mary Poppins! She really enjoyed the show but this three year old had a lot of questions during those three hours! We were about to leave when I saw that we could be third in line to get I our picture taken with Mary Poppins and Bert, so we jumped in line. What a fun day!

A Mini Vacation

Here we go. A blog to record our little life.....

Last Friday, I loaded the kids in the car and headed for the DFW airport. Leaving before 7:00 in the morning was quite an accomplishment for us! We picked up Adam from the airport and were ready for our mini vacation!

Our first stop was Bass Pro Shops. These three were enjoying the boat section!

Landry Kate found a shark and had to get a closer look at those teeth!

We stopped at the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. Landry Kate enjoyed every bit of it! Barrett was just happy that it was finally lunch time!

We went back to our hotel for naps, then took a late afternoon swim.

My sweet boy!

Landry Kate had a blast (and Adam did too, even though he looks so serious)!

Later, we shopped at Toys R Us for a few presents. Landry Kate found a pink Fisher Price corn popper and pulled it all. around. the. store. I had forgotten how loud those things are but her face was just glowing with excitement! After dinner at Pappasitos, we headed back to the hotel for the night.

Here we are Saturday at the Fort Worth Zoo celebrating sweet Dakota's first birthday!

Cupcake time!

Adam and Landry Kate tried the hurricane machine. She came out saying it was too windy in there! Adam just thought it was cool and refreshing!

Our brave girl touching an armless lizard!

Landry Kate and Barrett had a blast at the zoo! Barrett fell asleep before we even made it back to the car. Then we headed home from our fun weekend!
